Summertime Tablescapes
Summer provides many opportunities to celebrate the red, white and blue ? Memorial Day, July 4th, and Labor Day.This colorful and patriotic tablesetting would also be appropriate when sending off or welcoming home a loved one in the US Military service. To drape the table, purchase a red, white, and blue tablecloth or a 3-yard length of patriotic-themed fabric at a fabric store. Here, I?ve added solid red placemats, white dishes, and blue glassware. Fan-fold red napkins, secure in the middle with napkin rings, then open the folds. Display the napkins on each dinner plate. Cut lengths of metallic garland and tuck it around the base of candles, add a red and white floral centerpiece, and accent with a sparkling Uncle Sam hat.
A tourquoise linen shawl becomes the foundation for this gorgeous tablesetting. Featuring swirled blue glass chargers, crisp white porcelain dinnerware, and tailored cotton napkins, this tablescape elevates the classic blue and white summer palatte with layers of color and texture.
The secret to gorgeous summer tables is layering colorful fabrics and dinnerware. Group candlelight at varying heights in the center of the table, add flickering votives near placesettings, and the result is sheer magic!
